Reporting a Bug

A good bug report contains four things:

1. What you did — the exact sequence of clicks or inputs.
2. What you expected — e.g. "guess should have been accepted".
3. What happened instead — e.g. "got a red error row".
4. Your setup — browser name + version, desktop or mobile, OS if known.

Screenshots and browser console errors (F12 → Console tab) help us fix things in one round-trip instead of three.

Common Issues & Quick Fixes

My progress disappeared

Unfinished puzzle guesses stay in the current browser and may disappear when site data is cleared or private mode is used. Signed-in profiles sync aggregate stats, streaks, achievements and claimed leaderboard scores, but not a half-finished puzzle.

I signed in but my current guesses are missing on another device

This is expected: sign-in syncs your profile totals, streak, achievements and claimed scores. It does not sync an in-progress puzzle or its guesses.

I cannot sign in or delete my account

Try the same Google or Apple provider used originally and allow pop-ups/redirects. Account deletion may ask you to re-authenticate for security. If it still fails, include the provider, browser and exact error in your email.

An anime I typed isn't accepted

Always pick from the autocomplete dropdown rather than typing freely. If the title isn't in the dropdown at all, it's outside our top-N popularity cutoff — email a request if it's a fairly well-known series.

The daily puzzle didn't update

The puzzle rolls over at 00:00 UTC — not your local midnight. Hard-refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 on Windows, Cmd+Shift+R on Mac) if you think you're still seeing yesterday's puzzle past the reset time.

The character/poster image looks totally unrecognizable

Crop bugs happen occasionally. Email us the date + mode + your final guess count and we'll re-crop that entry.

Feature Requests

We track suggestions informally. The ones most likely to land are specific and small ("add streak counter to classic mode") rather than sweeping ("redesign the site"). Every few months we bundle accepted requests into a release. Read what's on the roadmap before asking — you might find your idea is already planned.

Takedown Requests

If you are a copyright holder and need to request removal of specific anime imagery, please follow the procedure on our Copyright Disclaimer page. We respond within five business days.
